Overview

Character Challenge

This character was created with the challenge of leading an all-female army.

Main Rules: These rules dictate my use of all-female troops.

  • Only female Heroes may be hired (Warband only exception: A male hero may be hired to serve as court minister).
  • No troops may be recruited from villages or hired from taverns, ever.
  • My army must be constructed from rescued Peasant Women.
  • Since Peasant Women are a rare commodity, I may use males for garrisons.
  • Male troops may only exist in my army for two reasons and must be removed as soon as possible:
  1. Training an ally's soldiers for a quest.
  2. Rescued prisoners to use in garrisons.

Additional Rules: These are Nari's personal ethics rules that have nothing to do with the all-female army.

  • Hostile action may never be taken against any Villages.
  • Caravans may only be attacked if an ally has already attacked them.
  • If not released immediately, captured lords must be released with the first ransom offer.
  • A town or village's supply of food may not be bought out below three units of each type (except in case of emergency, if party is out of food).

Backstory

While I don't really spend a lot of time role-playing with my characters, I did invent a story.

Nari was the only child of a poor Japanese noble who was an expert swordsman. He taught her how to handle the katana from a young age, but as a woman, and daughter of a poor family, her father suggested that she leave Japan and seek fortune in a land where she could excel.

Nari traveled to Calradia and used her skill with the sword to win the local Tournaments. As her fame increased as a young woman that never lost a tournament, Sanjar Khan became interested and requested that she join him as his vassal. Since the people of the steppes reminded Nari of her home country, she agreed and made the pledge to fight for the Khergit Khanate.

However, because of the inferiority stereotypes against female warriors, Nari decided to build an army of only women. This was no easy task, as most women did not want to fight, but Nari was able to find female recruits in those that had seen war and blood firsthand, the peasant women Nari rescued from roving bands of criminals.

Mount&Blade Classic

I am no longer playing the classic game, so this is pretty much the end results.

Nari's Army

Nari flies the banner of the red rose.

Her weapon of choice is a Balanced Bastard Sword. She has a Reinforced Winged Great Helmet, Plate Armor, Lordly Gauntlets, Lordly Iron Greaves, and a Reinforced Heavy Heater Shield. She rides a Heavy Courser.

Her companions are equipped with Lordly Great Helmets, Heraldic Mail with Surcoats, Thick Mail Mittens, Iron Greaves, and Reinforced Heavy Heater Shields. They all ride Heavy Coursers.

Since Sword Sisters ride Coursers as well, all of Nari's troops ride into battle on pure white horses. These only-white mounts make it easier to find the enemy in the chaos of battle.
