Seneschals are a removed feature from Mount&Blade. They were to appear in towns and castles. Code can still be found from the game's files.

They were able to tell the player the location of named lords and ladies. Compared to the lords and ladies though, the seneschals had a set location, each town and castle having their own seneschal. Also during a removed quest (deliver supply to center under siege), the player needed to transport supplies from a random town or castle to a town or castle that was under siege. The supplies would be given to the player by the seneschal at the starting location and they were to be delivered to the seneschal of the town or castle under siege.
