Schools are a village improvement whose construction is affected by your party's Engineer skill.
Schools increase player relationship with the village by 1 every month.
There is a bug in classic Mount&Blade where School bonuses are applied to all villages you own, whether they have a School or not. Schools do work properly in Warband.
