Mael Elisedd ap Cyngen is the claimant to the throne of the Kingdom of Gwynedd.
Elisedd ap Cyngen is part of the previous ruling dynasty, who were removed from the throne and had to flee. He explains that the kingdom has suffered greatly under the usurpers and that the common folk will support him.
On the other side, Ri Rhodri map Merfyn admits that times are indeed tough for the kingdom, caused by frequent raids on their merchants. He claims however, that Elisedd is behind the raids.
