Khuzait Khan's Guard are sixth-tier troops of the Khuzait, and the ultimate form of the Khuzait Noble's Son. Khuzait Khan's Guard are the last troop in the progression towards the Khuzait Khan's Guard and like all others of this class are mounted horse archers.
Despite their name seemingly designating their role, the Khan Guard are one of the best troops in the entire game in terms of versatility and combat effectiveness. They come with a bow and 2 quivers of arrows, a powerful 2 handed polearm, and top tier armor, and an an armored warhorse. While they can fufill the horse archer/skirmisher role well with their bow and arrows, their real combat power comes from their glaive. In an equal numbers fight on even terrain, they can outmatch Vlandian Banner Knights and Imperial Elite Cataphracts consistently even when ordered to hold fire. Furthermore, when dismounted, and ordered to hold fire, they can rival Battanian Veteran Falxmen, Sturgian Heroic Linebreakers, and even Imperial Legionaries in melee combat. In terms of pure archery combat without horses or melee weapons, the only troop that the Khan Guard will lose to are Battanian Fian Champions. However, compared to the Fian only being delegated to archery and as perhaps mediocre shock troops, the Khan Guard can be used in siege combat, deployed as skirmishers, or shock troops, as stationary archers, reinforce infantry, or to hold off even heavy cavalry.
