The Kachyar Peninsula juts from the west of the Calradian northlands into the icy Byalic Sea. Rugged mountains and storm-swept ridges cover the peninsula, providing sheltered spaces where hearty people are able live and prosper.[1]
The peninsula was first home to Vakken[Citation needed] and Sturgian natives, then later by Nord explorers and traders. The town of Revyl is the most prominent settlement on the peninsula. Fishing is one of the most prominent means of subsistence on the peninsula with catches coming the Bay of Varcheg and the Byalic Sea. Near the village of Zhemyan, villagers brave the storms to haul in cod, char, and small whales.[2]
