The Irish Veteran Skirmisher (Ceithernach) is a third-tier unit of the Gaelic troop tree in Viking Conquest.
Usage[]
As is within their name, they are best employed as skirmishers behind your shield wall. As some skirmishers have shields - and can create a secondary shieldwall - this might pose the issue of them not being able to hold the line properly (unless perhaps they spawn with the long axe which might help a bit). Their ability to break shields though (as axe wielders) could prove useful against enemy's shielded troops, though don't expect them to last long in your rooster unless kept in the back due to their light armor and no shield.
