Thor's hof on the map
Hofs are locations featured in Viking Conquest. They are temples dedicated to the Norse Scandinavian gods ("pagan" ingame), each hof being named after the god it is dedicated to.
There are 2 hofs: Thor's hof (in Danmark) and Odin's hof (in Northvegr).
Hofs can be pillaged for slaves or loot, but can also offer services. The player can convert to the Norse Gods ("pagan") at a Hof, they can hire a Gothi to preach to their troops for a morale boost, and can give offerings to the Norse gods in exchange for their favour. With high enough favour, the player will be able to hire Berserkrs, obtain special items and gain skill bonuses.
