Heavy Throwing Axes are carried by Nord Huscarls. Like all types of throwing axes, they have a low velocity, limiting their range and reducing damage slightly.
In comparison to Jarids, Heavy Throwing Axes fly slower, deal one tad less damage, attack a little bit faster, deal negligibly more damage in melee, have Bonus against shields, require more Power Throw to use. Generally viable, but not without their minuses.
