For other priest troops/articles, see: Priest (disambiguation).

The Gothi is the priest unit of the Norse troop tree in Viking Conquest.

Their religion is Pagan (Scandinavian Gods).

They can be found roaming the overland map in: a Norse Lord's armies or in Pagan Priests parties.

Morale and relation bonus[]

Gothi (and other priests) are one of the worst combat units (essentially archers/skirmishers) but they can be at times more useful then other (lower tier) combat units if one employs a big army (usually late game) due to their morale enhancing effect through the troop interaction (+3 for 500 penningas, only once per 4 days).

Paying the Gothi will also sometimes raise your relation with the "Commoners" faction (which generally encompasses the non-aggressive parties you can see across the map for e.g. Traveler or Trader).

Follower's party[]

The Gothi can also be sent to the Follower's party (if one employs one) to increase your Surgery (depending on their numbers, 2-5 priests/gothi give +1).

Gothi as an NPC in Lord's hall[]

You can also find gothis as NPCs in Lord's halls in towns/castles that are Pagan.

If your character is Christian, they give you the option to convert to Paganism (Scandinavian Gods) through the dialogue interaction or simply antagonize them (but that does nothing).

Stats and Equipment[]

Note: Troops have a set of default stats; at the beginning of a new game, these stats are randomly adjusted for each type of troop. The following is the default set for this troop as seen within the game code and may not reflect the specific stats you will see during actual gameplay. For more information, see Troop stats.
