So, I just became king profiting sarranid sultanae getting demolished by everyone else, i got 2 castles and a city and 2 vassals. I was thinking omg! now i can figth with them but they keep staying in their castle and when asking what he and his men are doing they say: need to recruit more troops. - Should happen automatically, though I think it's more of a lame excuse so they can get away with being lazy.

I think it depends upon the amount of fiefs you have given them,the more fiefs you give,more the chances of increasing their army,if you you have given a castle for each of them along with village they come out after getting 100 troops or more,if you really want to call them out,start a new campaign or proclaim yourself as marshall and ask them to gather.They cannot go against marshall order unless they have really less troops <30 or their health is very low.--Opr12345 (talk) 18:09, October 2, 2012 (UTC)
Do you use any kind of mod?
In native, i found that if lords only have a village they will not patrol, just stick in towns and castles and not do anything at all.
