I am currently a vassal for Swadia. I have been killing bandits for moral etc and when i zoomed out on my map i have seen that Sarranid Saltanate have over-take 1 of our main cities when we arent at war with them. - This can happen if the Swadian vassal who owned the town voluntarily switched sides to the Sarranids. What happened is quite rare for a couple reasons: usually only the most loyal vassals get towns, and the king usually kicks disloyal vassals out of the faction before they reach the point of switching sides on their own. If you can find the vassal who owns the town, you may try persuading him to switch back, and if you are successful, he will bring the town back with him.
