So... In Mount and Blade: Warband, I decided that i would make my own kingdom out of my holdings in the Kingdom of Swadia. All was well and i managed to fight and win my independence as "The New Swadian Republic"... that is until i realized that during the war my vassal armies would run away from my army. So I investigated a bit and I found that Me and my army were still color coded to the original Kingdom of Swadia (orange) whereas my country, that i was king of, was colored differently (dark red). Anyone know how i could possibly fix this? I kinda need to be able to lead my allies into battle rather than have them running away from me... Sounds like an annoying bug. Are you listed as a member of the new faction under your character’s Notes entry? Does Swadia still treat you like an ally? Maybe you can go to the king and denounce your alliance.

In game I am considered the leader of the new faction in the notes catergory and when i am at war with swadia I am still attacked by regular swadians, and also, When I went to the King of Swadia to see if I could Renounce my alliance I only had the option to become his vassal again... not leave his service... Check the notes and see who else the kingodom of swadia is at war with, send them an emissary and tell them abut your good intentions, you'll gain right to rule :D —Preceding unsigned comment added by Mumluke (talk • contribs)

I suppose you could rejoin Swadia, then renounce it and rebel again. You'd probably have to recapture any of your current fiefs, but it might fix your issue. I'd suggest saving first in case it doesn't work (or creating an alternate save file if you have realistic saving turned on).
