Trivia[]

  • In the early versions of Mount&Blade there was a suit of armour that consisted of a long mail shirt covered with a red tunic. The tunic displayed a very similar-looking lion on the chest. While the lion logo was probably simply recycled as the Dey Meroc - and Vlandia's - coat of arms, it is still interesting given that Vlandia is the ancestor faction of the Kingdom of Swadia.
  • While Warrider did not feature faction banners, it is possible that this particular armour was meant to be heraldic and represent Swadia, in which case it's interesting that Swadia was meant to have Vlandia's banner in retrospect, before getting the lion design that has been used since banners were added to the game.
