Atys is a soldier of the Empress Rhagaea. His first and so far only appearance is in the "Travels in Calradia" segment of the Bannerlord Digital Companion.

Biography[]

Atys was an Imperial Archer. After the Aserai raided some imperial villages, an army was assembled to retaliate and Atys was one of the soldiers. During the campaign, he was involved in a raid on an Aserai village, in which two of his comrades-in-arms were caught off-guard and killed by the local peasants. For this, he and his remaining friends planned to unleash a terrible punishment upon the people of Husn Fulq once their army managed to breach the town walls.

The traveling imperial scribe Asaios met Atys during the siege of Husn Fulq and bribed him for lodging. Atys and his friends shared their story, plans, and food with Asaios during his short stay with them. On the second morning after Asaios' arrival, Atys informed him their siege camp was under attack by an Aserai relief army and told him to take care of himself, parting ways afterwards.

The Aserai broke the siege and drove the retreating imperial army against the Nahr al-Kals river, where it was soundly beaten. It is unknown if Atys and his companions survived - Asaios mused that, since they were archers, they probably had a better chance of surviving and escaping since they were unlikely to be in the main clash of troops.

Trivia[]

  • According to Asaios' journal, cheese gave Atys gas, which made him stink up the tent he shared with his comrades. For this, they've made the decision to never forage for or loot cheese, as their code of honor obliged them to share it with Atys.
  • While Asaios admitted the group's loyalty for each other was admirable, he still did not approve of the torture and murder of innocents, which was what Atys and his friends were planning for the people of Husn Fulq. Accordingly, while he initially enjoyed their company, he no longer cared to meet them after they had parted ways.
