Once you assemble all 3 pieces:
- You have collected all the pieces of the Dragon Banner. Now you can decide what you will do with the pieces. Return to Istiana or Arzagos to decide your path.
Walkthrough[]
Upon completing the previous quest, you realize you possess one of the three pieces of the Dragon Banner. You will need to speak with both Istiana and Arzagos to find the location of the two remaining pieces.
Once you have finished retrieving all three pieces, the quest will tell you to return to either Istiana (if you plan on restoring the Calradic Empire) or to Arzagos (if you plan on destroying it for good).
- Completion for Istiana
If you speak with Istiana after getting all three pieces, you will be given an option to say:
- "I have gathered all pieces of the Dragon Banner. What now?"
Selecting that option will make a number of quests activate and complete. She'll then reply with:
- "Impressive, most impressive. There is nothing else to do in the game now."
- "I will need to embroider a proper legend about you. Divine omens at your birth, that kind of thing. For now, we can call you 'Bannerlord', who brings down the wrath of Heaven on the impudent barbarians."
- "Now, there are two paths that lie ahead of you, my child!"
- "You can create your own faction to win our civil war, or support an existing one..."
You are then given three dialogue choices:
- "How can I create my own faction?"
- She will reply: "To create your own faction, you must fulfill some conditions. Your clan must be independent. It must be well-renowned. You must gather a considerable number of men. And, you must own an imperial settlement. Find me when you are ready!"
- In game terms, this means you can't be a vassal, must be at least Clan Tier 3, must have at least a hundred troops, and must own an imperial fief (either a town or a castle - requires verification).
- She will reply: "To create your own faction, you must fulfill some conditions. Your clan must be independent. It must be well-renowned. You must gather a considerable number of men. And, you must own an imperial settlement. Find me when you are ready!"
- "How can I support an existing faction?"
- She will reply: "You should join the faction that you wish to support by finding its leader. When this civil war began, I was a bit torn... Rhagaea was the cleverest ruler, Garios probably the best fighter, and Lucon seemed to have the best grasp of our laws and traditions. But you can make up your own mind. My little birds will tell me once you pledge your support..."
- "Thank you for your precious help."
- This closes the conversation.
You now have four additional quests:
- Create an Imperial Faction: Mercenary to Kingdom (with Istiana)
- Support an Imperial Faction: Istiana's Quest
- Create a Non-Imperial Faction: Mercenary to Kingdom (with Arzagos)
- Support a Non-Imperial Faction: Arzagos' Quest
The Assemble the Dragon Banner quest will also still be active until you complete one of these sub-quests (or the ones from Arzagos).
