Asalig is a village of the Khuzait owned by Mesui Begum of the Khergit. The village is bound to Baltakhand and known to produce Horses, specifically Steppe Horses.
Description[]
Asalig sits at the foot of Bars Dag, one of the peaks that marks the edge of the Devseg plateau. Villagers raise horses in the lower slopes, keeping watch for the snow leopards for which the peak is named.[1]
Trivia[]
- The village is likely the namesake for the breed of horses called the Asaligat, a high-tier variant of the Steppe Horse.
