Alijin was one of the three pre-made characters showcased in Mount&Blade II: Bannerlord's Gamescom 2018 demo alongside Brogomir and Valtis.
Biography[]
- Early Life
Alijin's family lived far out on the steppe, one of the Khuzait clans that stuck to the old nomadic ways. There, in the unforgiving grass sea, men and women alike learned to ride and fight, so they could defend their ancestral grazing grounds. But new peoples were pushing westward, desperate and numerous. Unable to fight forever, Alijin's family chose to sell their herds and buy land to till, under the protection of the cities. She herself however has rejected this demeaning fate, and decided to make her own way in the world.
- Later Life
Alijin has wandered through much of eastern Calradia. Although she first earned her living as a mercenary, she ultimately found her calling as a champion of the poorer villagers, helping them gather enough grain to get through the winter, or defending them against predatory bandits. She grew tired, however, of seeing her work undone and villages returning to misery every time a marauding army passed through the area. Ultimately she decided to enter the service of the Khuzait khan, Monchug. Though she has little in common with the harsh ruler, he has given her control of a small fief where she can focus her efforts and keep the forces of chaos at bay.
